**The Middlebury River is a dangerous river that is extremely level dependant. The rocks in these images shift regularly thus correlating live images to these as a level reference should be done with extreme caution. For a first trip down it is highly recommended you have somebody knowledgeable with the river show you down**

During the summer of 2023 the Middlebury drainage saw multiple flood events on a scale comparable if not worse than that seen during Irene. As a result the Middlebury River has changed significantly, including the gauges rocks used to judge level at this remote camera. These reference images are preliminary and should be used as a rough guide only. More importantly, the Gorge itself saw several rocks shift and as of October 2023 has not been run. If you choose to venture in, it is recommended you do so with extreme caution and only after a thorough scout.
